  • THE OUTCOME

SynkedUP is transforming landscaping jobs management through a robust .NET, Angular, React Native and React platform, backed by a resilient team culture, agile execution, and almost daily deployments.

linkTHE CHALLENGE

SynkedUP faced an unusual triple mandate:

  • Stabilize the platform - clear a backlog of production bugs.
  • Accelerate innovation - keep shipping high‑impact features.
  • Modernize the stack - migrate a mature, monolithic code‑base to next‑generation technologies without interrupting live operations.

Delivering on all three fronts demanded more than extra development capacity. It required a strategic engineering partner who could:

  • Absorb a complex architecture quickly. The existing system combined a robust monolith with a deep, service‑rich backend that powered day‑to‑day business workflows.
  • Operate flawlessly in production. Releases had to be predictable and low‑risk for hundreds of active users.
  • Move the roadmap forward. Strategic insight was just as important as code, SynkedUp’s leadership already had a clear product vision and strong stakeholder engagement, so the new team member needed to slot in seamlessly and add momentum.

NetForemost was selected because we combine technical depth, disciplined delivery, and advisory strength, enabling SynkedUP to move faster with confidence while laying the groundwork for a modern, future‑proof platform.

NetForemost embedded a lean, cross‑functional engineer inside SynkedUP to inject rigor, velocity, and confidence into day‑to‑day delivery. We combined battle‑tested agile practices with hands-on engineering leadership, allowing SynkedUP’s roadmap to advance while production stability actually improved.

Engineering Highlights

  • Development of features requested by stakeholders in the mobile and web app
  • The requested features usually included changes in backend and frontend applications
  • While developing them the quality and alignment with team architectural decisions were considered to avoid bugs and to foster easy code maintainability
  • Angular ➜ React migration completed ahead of schedule Solo effort: Item Catalog, Vendors, Users, Tenants / My Company pages. Pair‑programmed: Datacenter and Job Plan modules.
  • Reusable UI & backend primitives
  • ReportSavedFiltersList - sidebar component for full CRUD of report filters.
  • ReportFilters - plug‑and‑play filter builder powering multiple reporting screens.
  • End‑to‑end persistence logic (entities, repos, services, migrations) for saved filters.
  • Mobile time‑tracking overhaulCo‑developed a new Time Tracking suite: job‑detail widgets, crew‑log time reports, notifications, and historical / future‑events views and several components more, boosting field‑team productivity.
  • Relentless quality focus
  • Cleared hundreds of legacy Sentry errors; today the log lists < 30 items, almost all external to our code (QuickBooks SDK).
  • Resolved dozens of customer‑reported defects while shipping new functionality, keeping customers' satisfaction steady during rapid change
  • Fixed a lot of production bugs reported by stakeholders
  • Key initiatives included:
  • Responsibilities were distributed across the team, allowing the newly included engineer to gain experience across different layers of the system, reducing dependencies and increasing team resilience.
  • A shared Definition of Done improved delivery confidence and quality assurance.

linkTHE OUTCOME

  • Strategic Alignment: A technical partner that matched SynkedUP’s vision and enabled its execution through best-practice implementation.
  • Flow Without Bottlenecks: Scalable development workflows and resilient engineering practices.
  • Cross-Functional Strength: A team capable of contributing across the entire system with clarity, confidence, and cohesion.
  • Operational resilience: Production incidents down > 80 %, thanks to DoD enforcement and Sentry hygiene.
  • Team scalability: Knowledge silos eliminated; any engineer can now pick up any part of the stack with minimal ramp‑up.
  • Partner delight: Consistent, high‑quality deliveries and transparent communication strengthened SynkedUP’s trust in NetForemost as a long‑term strategic ally.

It was a true pleasure working with NetForemost. Their developers are smart, determined and more than capable to solve hard problems. I really enjoyed working with Luis who demonstrated early on that he is a team player. NetForemost leadership is eager to remain aligned and pursues pro active communication.

The bottleneck didn't disappear. It just changed its address.

AI made engineers faster — but throughput on the main branch is falling. Three tool launches in two weeks reveal where the bottleneck actually moved, and what it means for teams adopting AI coding agents.
